Free brass tube & other bits Empty
PostSubject: Free brass tube & other bits   Free brass tube & other bits EmptyWed Dec 21, 2011 5:22 am

A free source of chrome plated brass tube is found scrounging/saving any no longer needed/used electrical transistor radio. TV rabbit ear or car radio antenna.
Over the years I've pulled hundreds of things apart and retrieved wires, switches, small motors from VCR'r and disk drives the doors provide motors with worm drive reduction, speakers and the stated brass antenna's.
The chrome surface can be roughened with a carborundum wheel in a Dremel prior to painting so the paint will adhere and not peel off.
