Boat Names

As the name suggests, boat names, eh you might be asking, well its simple, most of us build a scale model of such a boat and it gets named after the original, but many of us make boats fitting only a style so its open to interpretation.

But what do you call your newly finished boat?

Ones i like are names of Greek mythological goddesses (preferably with meaning)

Thoosa - goddess of swift currents

Wasted time for one you're not happy with but any name that takes your fancy it's your boat your free to name it.

guy goes into a pub with a bandage round his head....

"what happened to you" asked the landlord.....

"Oh I was looking for a name for my new fishing boat" says the sailor........"and my wife told me to name it after her".

"so!" said the landlord. "what's the problem"

"Don't think she appreciated me calling it  FAT ARSE", replied the sailor.............

Maybe a good idea is to use the name of the original vessel but turn it in to an anagram or use the letters of the name to make a new name....may work for some but not others........just a thought!!
