Next Project?

I mentioned that I had ordered two new plans to consider as another project. These are they.

First of all a simple tug based on the SunXXI



The other is a Glyn Guest Work boat that uses a vectored thrust arrangement



I have decided to make Sunny. I will start a build log when I get some material. I had quite a problem finding a supplier that had both the balsa and Liteply that I required. Unfortunately my local supplier is still not available.

The work boat is more difficult. I am not sure that I can make the thrust unit. I will be doing more research on this and some experiments to assess if I have the necessary skills. If I do eventually decide to attempt this it will be a different hull construction. The plans call for 12mm pine and 1/8th ply from B&Q      

I've also bought a Dumas model of a US Army tug, but that is going into store until October at the earliest.

Going on your other builds your XX1 will turn out to be one of the best , I will be looking forward to your build log of the Tug as I have also ordered the Sun XX1 plans,

Fred - mine will be very much a "looks a bit like" a Sun XXI. Hopefully my materials will arrive today and I can start work.
