| I know of a modeller building his first boat [balsa] using white glue [PVA]... Is PVA for boating ok OR what balsa glue should be used?? please? What type of water proofing I mean?? | |

| Balsa glue is preferable but if hull is given a coat of Dope or polyester resin PVA will suffice. |

| I normally use Aliphatic Resin when I have to glue Balsa (not my favourite material  ). It is more waterproof than straight PVA, but I still ensure the balsa has a resin or paint cover as well. Barrie | |
