Tyne Class Lifeboat

This is the first time I have posted on this forum.
I thought I would share a few photos of my 1/20 scale Tyne Class Lifeboat.
The boat is based on a Sarik Hobbies hull and apart from a few proprietary fittings everything is scratch built using various thicknesses of plasticard, plastic rod and brass tube.
It has taken about 18 months to complete the boat.

Chris that looks fabulous to be honest such wonderful craftsmanship keep up the good work and we will look forward to your next build on here

Thanks for your comments a few more closeups of various parts of the Tyne

And just a couple of the electronics bays. It has working lights and radar. The deck lights, navigation and blue flashing lights are all turned on and off using spare channels on the transmitter and the AA battery powers the radar motor.

looking superb...………..I am choosing between this and the Australian lifeboat queenscliffe as my next project.

I am at the moment doing a ' fun ' build for a friend and that is Speedline Models Y-boat this being my first go at a vac formed kit. Then I can start my next build which is ( on Neil's advice at Blackpool ) a 1/12 scale Mersey Class lifeboat from Mountfleet models.
