| Thanks Kenny but I did'nt do the brass work.My friend Brian remade the block for me,I forgot to say I bought this boat part built. This is only the second model I have ever attempted. The first is on tug boats and is also scratch built. | |

| Yes mate.very nice indeed. i love seeing brass work.....it's always a shame to cover it with paint though. can understand why all the old apprentice ship builders models are littered with such beautifully finished fittings. neil. |

| Can agree with you there Neil. However, if the brass work is good, then the part will be great even with paint. have seen some models with lots of beautiful brass work, but without paint. It does not look very good. even if each part is a masterpiece it is wrong in my opinion. But I see your point Neil. regards Ole | |

| You should always keep the working area clean, Capt Jack, that means clearing fish and crabs off the deck Looks very nice, my sort of boat that, so is it a kit or from plans? Alan | |

| Thanks Alan but as I said earlier in the thread,I did buy it as a part built so its not all my own work. However most of it will be redone as it is not up to scratch in my opinion. | |

| Maybe the captain has been given shore leave Alan And he is now crawling around in the garden, looking for weeds. poor progress of the boat when you're stuck in the rose thorn. Ole | |
