Running on Lipo 4s 30-40c , 120 amp (180 burst) e.s.c , 36x prop. The hull (as you might know) is a Zoom 1 unstepped also self right's so in my view better in a chop.

Hi Ive had 2 Rocket's in the past. The first one from China was fitted with an outrunner & stinger no turnfin's or trimtab's. Sold it to a mate for more than I paid The 2nd one I got from Astec fitted 26/50 inrunner , strut , fin's & tab's. Not fast on 3s tried 4s went O.K for about 3min's Motor burnt out Upgraded to a 36/60 2075kv Went like **%%** !! It took a dive must of been 45-50 m.p.h smashed in to concrete lake bottom as only 2.5 feet deep writeoff !! Lost G.P.S unit aswell. A Mate has a Delta Force great boat's ! Fast & turn well. As for the Zoom this is the 3rd one Ive had in my view the Zoom 1 is the better hull biggest & unstepped. Mine all in owe's me about £200. The Envoy seem's unbeatable when setup right. Anyway it all depend's on what you want to do ! Race or like me just a bit of fun?

First boat to practise with why i was recommended the rocket or delta force, i want to enter next years season of racing so need a boat that's going to get me good with skills over the next 6 months, then upgrade the hull to something better.

I may go with the delta force for the race season, or the etti.

I plan to buy the best in regards to the running gear off the back, stinger, offset rudder by the looks of it, 50mm turn fin's med trim tabs. (suggestions for good makes and sizes for stinger and rudder would be good) as this will save me cash later when i strip down the practise hull, then with the motor i will start small looking at the 2860 4050 from leopard with 100 amp esc on nhmi for now until i figure out lipos, but will run off 2's for the mono 1 class i expect, i'm going to a race meeting 14th aug (since there down our lake for round 5) so i will get some more face to face info then.

So the rocket good for knocking about with.. the delta force or etti for racing?
