Veneer Empty
PostSubject: Veneer   Veneer EmptyWed Jan 12, 2022 8:49 am

Hi One and All

Has any one found a good outlet for wood veneer?
I am thinking of using veneer on the deck housings on the MMM Lady "T" which is my next build, so I am looking for a veneer that has a tight grain and would look right.

Thank you for any help that you can give.

There's usually loads of choice on ebay. I've bought from several different suppliers on there over the years and not been disappointed.

Example:
Teak Veneer / Flexible Wood Veneer Sheet.. | eBay

I used to be an engineer in a door manufacturers so I had access to the reject veneers which is fine for boat use. Look for furniture restoration workshops or door manufacturers there may be rejects or off cuts to be had.

Hi Swab
Thank you for this info, we have a new shop open in the high street that is supposed to be a furniture - car dash & plane dash  restore, so when he does finely open the doors I will drop in and have a word with them.
