I purchased on ebay a 1100KV RC Airplane Plane Outrunner Brushless Motor and a Brushless Motor Speed Controller RC 30A ESC for my Air boat project no wiring instructions came with the motor has red, black and blue wires while the ESC has 3 blue o/p wires labelled R, B, C any ideas what wire goes to which please. Motor and ESC are both Mystery brand perhaps that says it all lol.
Damien.

Ok this one i know!

You plug the 3 motor wires to the 3 BLUE esc wires, not the red and black on the opposite ends since that's the battery imput, but make sure you plug the battery in the right way or poof bye bye esc!

It does not matter which way the wires go, no set method so ignore the R, C, B.

Now if the motor spins the wrong way, just swap any two of the 3 motor cable around and it will reverse the motors turn direction.

Enjoy

RR

Air boating will be some time away yet my sheds are a long way from being tidy enough for building in my lathe is still in pieces and most of my tool are not unpacked yet the drill press, belt sander and grinder are but aren't bolted down yet.
I like to buy everything needed for a project before I begin.

Not sure if anyone's really noticed... my workshop has spread to indoors to the dining room table!

ok that's not cos the workshops untidy, the wife works night now, so i find it hard to get down there some weeks depending on her rota... guess that's the life of a nurse though right?

but i understand what its like to want everything there before you start, im the same way, but my workshops to small to have everything out, so i have to plan my events to get the right tools out for the job, then i end up doing more then one project while that tools out, which explains why i end up with 3 projects on the go at any one time.

Ah well such is life, but as long we were happy right!

RR
lol! lol!

Yup just do the best we can, I really would like my body to allow more than the 30 to 60 minutes a day I get before double vision sets in and stuffs up my shed work I could continue but the injury rate increases greatly. Accuracy suffers if I close one eye.
