Electronics wizard

Can anyone remember the name from a few years back,who was very knowledgeable on things electronic,I seem to think he was called Allan,was it Allan Bond perhaps?
If this gentleman is still around has anyone got any contact details for him please,or if I have the name wrong,help me out with further details?
