Avoid the blue plastic masking tape like it's the plague.
I attempted to masked the yellow on Josie with paper tape without success on the tight curves after the damage to the gloss finish on the yellow last time, I was hoping to avoid it.
I applied the blue and then paper tape and 150mm/6" Inch blown paper and resprayed the brown left it 5 minutes and removed all masking to find the gloss finish gone from under the blue masking tape again Grrrrrrrr 4 rolls now in garbage.

Hoping like crazy some cutting compound will bring the shine back, at least it's not as obvious as it was on the brown.

I think the problem is the aerosol can paint being too thick and taking weeks or months to dry where I normally airbrush auto acrylics.

sounds to me that the tape is old.......another trick you can use is to look yet again on ebay for some 1/4 inch insulation tape and apply this first,i can gtee you this will stop any bleed through on any paint acrylic or enamel
