need advice on Engel Gato,

Hi guys,i need some advice for an Engel Gato,..what i need to know, is what would be the best way to seal the the hull, i,m new to this i got it on ebay just before Christmas it is  like new and came with everything including an F14 transmitter,...everything is working,but the top cover on the inside needs sealed into position...by the top cover ,i don,t mean the long hatch that has the rubber seal and bolts/and nuts..i mean the full length cover that goes over the electrics,..someone said i should use resin to glue it in..but i,m loathe to do that, just in case anything ever went wrong and i would be able to remove it without a major operation,...could i use aquarium grade silicone....your advice would be much appreciated

clear silicone would seal well and if needed be slit open with a knife a lot easier than a hard glue.
And being clear would be almost invisible.
