| Ok leave it Neil. I'm redesigning the hull so when i've done it i will post it up. It's just that i'm a bit dissapointed with this build i had such high hopes for it. I going to build the hull out of balsa wood 1/16 thick two layers and give about six coats of varnish. | |

| Hi Tony, Members cannot delete there own topics for the simple reason should you have your account hacked, or someone uses it ( say your on a public computer and you have saved your password on it then walked away) they could delete everything you have ever written, this makes it extremely hard to put right as if i use the ''backup'' it will only restore from the last dates back up which is done weekly and all members could loose a lot of posts or information they have submitted.
Do you still want your post removed, or are you going to take Neil's advice and keep it going with your modifications?
As a word of encouragements if your doing a blog, its nice to see changes you make if your not happy with a build, your only human and not infallible, i have to agree with Neil though with your build, making changes is all part of a project & since your sharing it i see no reason to alter the post as it helps others learn from your mistakes.
If you want it deleted that's fine pm Neil or me and we can remove it & you can re-post with a new thread any time so its not a problem, this also goes should you make a mistake in your post just pm someone from the mod team and they will edit your post to how you want it.

| hi larry, sometimes the message" to accept" doesn't always pop up...when it doesn't, i normally just right click and then paste onto the forum page anyway, and then press review to look at the picture, before proceeding to the next one. try this, and then if not let us know. what size are the pictures you are trying to host. neil. |

| Hey larry when you get the 3 links that appear, you want the middle one, now if you click on it the whole thing will be highlighted you need to copy it, you can either click the copy button, or right click and select copy url/link from the list.
Now its copied, click in the page, the text box where your typing and press CTRL+ V this will paste the code you copied into the text, this code once posted converts to the image so everyone can see it.
If your still having issues email me the photo's, write your post and i will put the photo's in for you.

| I am afraid that our system for uploading is not user friendly for many people. This is not the fault of the forum but the Server....I think! | |

| I have found that after you have 'copied' the middle block it's not possible to paste it on the written letter as there is not enough space for the cursor. My answer to this little problem is to 'preview' the page and then paste it in the cleared letter section. Larry is right about the intricacies of this site as it can be tricky sometimes. But then, life is a challenge. Ken | |

| Hi Larry. Is it THIS Saturday. I didn't know. I wanted to go as will be the last one (so I've heard) Regarding the loading of files, it really does work as RR says. Once you have clicked COPY and then RIGHT clicked on the middle line it will be stored in your computer ready to be left clicked on to your letter. ..............................What I just done. Something it won't do is space a load of blanks in front of your typing, so I used dots above, but that's not really important is it. ken | |

| If you copy the link for the photo.. click the photo upload button again and the uploader vanishes so you can post the link to the page.
Then click the photo uploader button again to bring it back up, to upload the next one.
But if people are having issues, i would suggest using photbucket. Like every other forum were limited to free storage space for photo uploading, I can't be expected to cough up ÂŁ1000+ a year for a decent photo host & storage space for 79 users, sorry it sound quite abrupt, but there are other programs out there that can do personal photo's for free which allow for your own management and not left up to me to carry & foot the bill.
To name a few....
photobucket
Flickr
Yahoophoto's
Facebook
image shack
and the list goes on.
I think that we should all be grateful that the forum gives you a photo host with unlimited bandwidth and storage for every user that joins, its a bit tricky at first to use but once you get the hang of it, its no more complicated then any other photo host out there, and this one at least allows you to do things on a single page with out having to flip between pages.
I appreciate that not everyone is technically minded with computers hence my offer to have photo's emailed to me and I'll do the work for you, i know everyone knows how to use email.... or you couldn't have signed up..... I can't be much fairer then that can I?
Sorry guys if there were better fixes for things (that don't cost me a fortune) then i would be happy to implement them but try to be realistic i'm not a walking cash machine like my wife thinks & i have a life outside the forum i can't be here 24/7.
The moderators and Myself have tried (and continue to do so) to make everyone's life's as easy as possible, written out instruction sheets and so forth to aid you, were only a message away to aid people with problems or issues your encountering. The forum is new, (39 days old in fact) so at least work with me until i can resolve problems like this.
I can't stop you leaving that's your choice, your free to come and go as you please but at least be fair in your judgement of my hard work to build the forum and the moderators for keeping it going!

| larry, you seem to be able to post on model boats ok, but that is a heck of a lot harder system to use than here. sorry you are leaving, but to be blunt, the excuse is a little strange, to say it mildly. sorry. neil. |

Another way round this issue is to click the "Host image" button a second time and the dialogue box disappears allowing full access to the edit screen. just my 2p worth | |

| Hi to everyone. I have moved this topic from the 'New? start here' section to here as I feel it will get more viewing. If there are any problems or suggestions for improvements out there, this is the place to let us know. Maybe then we can get them fixed or put in place quickly. | |
