Lulonga paddle steamer

For sale is this Lulonga paddle steamer 39inches long by 13inches wide.

The model was built by a club member with lots of detail, a steam plant was put in her but was never a success, it was then passed to another club member who fitted what looked like a window wiper motor, this was not a success either.

It was then given to me to have a go at.

I have fitted two motors that were suggested by the Paddleducks site, they run at 200 rpm on 12 volts, the drive is by toothed belt to the feathering paddle wheels. The paddles were too high so these were lowered. The boat now sails and turns very nicely.

There is a lot of nice detail on this boat and it looks good in the water, on the down side it needs the dust washing off, a couple of the wooden bumpers are missing and attention is needed to a couple of the railings, there is some lighting but I have never got round to sorting it out.

If the boat is sold I am taking out what I have spent and the rest is going into club funds.
