Welcome Tim.
There are plenty of experienced modellers here if you have any questions please ask.
Your first decision will be plan or kit build and if you want it to sit on a shelf or to fit radio control and have fun on a local lake or pond.

IMAGINATION is the main ingredient in modelling of anything next is the will to do it.

My first boat was a simple wedge about 12" long and 8" wide with a 1.5cc diesel engine with a propeller it didn't have a rudder my brother & I steered it by throwing rocks into the water causing ripples that changed the boats direction we walked around the pond to turn it around and start allover I was 12 years old and if Radio Control was around then, I didn't know about it.

I built a few free flight aircraft and soon learned when they flew away you never got them back So It's been mostly boats ever since.

Don't hesitate to start do it and ask questions I'd guess we've all destroyed efforts that didn't work out

In the end YOU are the only one you have to please.

Hi Tim.........nice to see you on here my friend............... and what's all this crap about us teaching you about how to build a model boat????

Damien.............he's a bit of a dark horse here...............he could teach me a thing or two about modelling lol..........especially his beautiful weathering techniques.........

Tim......you are too modest by far so don't procrastinate.....put some pictures up of you very fine models........we all would love to see them.

take care and speak soon. neil.

Hi tim...every thing you did so far was right....just remember that if you don't resize your photos to around 160kb then the auto resizer on here takes an age to do so.........I I always resize all mine down to that size......

once the host button is pressed you'll come up with a pop up saying copy to ( three different locations).........choose the middle one,

right click and it will come up with another pop up saying allow access........click this, then

again press your mouse with right click ( I think) and paste your picture.................if you need to paste mote than one pic on the same thread, press preview at bottom of the page which will then show the picture in situ, and then start the process again on the next picture. neil........it's a bit complicated till you have done it a couple of times and then unforgettable, lol
