thought i would put a pic on here just to get it started.
this is a pic of the violet jessop my good lady wife bought for me off fleabay a few weeks ago. it was her first voyage with myself at the helm after i had rewired all the servos and fitted a new rx.
very pleased with her as she seems to handle very well and as you can see there is virtually no windviolet jessop Dsc_0016

she is just about 4ft end to end including bow & stern sprits (if thats the right name) and about 8" beam across the deck. she is lying up at my caravan where i usually sail her on the river and i cant get up there this weekend to get exact measurements because some nice kind person decided to have a go at my old shogun on sunday with her wee fiat punto........ if i said my one is a cat d right off i think you can maybe guess what state the punto was in (she ran a red light and ran into the side of me just behind the rear wheel) Sad
anyway, when i get back to caravan i will put right sizes on here for you.
cheers.

Phil.
i have no idea whether its plans or scratch built. we bought it of a gentleman who was selling a few models for a relation/friend and he knew nothing of the history of any of them.
i am having a week at the caravan from monday where i will be doing as much sailing, fishing and drinking the odd liquid refreshment an a wee dram as i possibly can get away with so could do you some close up pics and measurements if that will help. can tell you that the hull is fibreglass and deck is wood.
I know that you can do plans so if you tell me what and where to measure i can do that no probs.
cheers

Violet Jessop was the name of one of Titanic's survivors. She was a first class stewardess and has written a book about her life at sea.

I have her book and it covers her life story 'in service'. I can recommend it an excellent nautical book to read in your caravan when it's raining. Very Happy

You good lady would enjoy it as well as it's not gruesome, but written very gentile.

tuk-kenny.
fully agree with you about the book excellent read. thoroughly enjoyed it.
she who thinks she must be obeyed is not a reader more of a telly person so there aint much chance of her reading that.
my main author i read is Raymond E Feist.. brilliant science fantasy writer. think i have read all his books now.

the boat was called after said first class stewardess but no one knows why.
