While visiting my elderly friend yesterday I took some photo's and thought I share some of his models.
The first is the Santa Maria at about 18", the sails are molded on curved cereal box he buy his Matches from the UK via his grandson as they're the most accurate in shape.

Next at around 24" is the Golden Hind. Even the rigging ladders are matchsticks.

I keep looking at the match stick models, must have a go at one, I think they are fantastic when built, do you no if it is possible to put radio control in them.

It is possible David would need to f/glass the inside to assure it's leak proof it would also depend on the ship you're thinking on.
