PostSubject: Light Pad.   Light Pad. EmptyThu Sep 15, 2016 6:22 am

Many years ago I made my wife a light box for use while doing art rather cumbersome with a 60 watt globe inside it was dumped when we moved house long ago. Since then I've used card and carbon paper to copy bulkheads, deck and cabin shapes.
While browsing ebay  I found this LED light pad A3 size with 3 light settings.

How do you actually use it Damien, is it used as you would with tracing/greaseproof paper with the item to be traced under the light pad ?

Yes Paul
Power up place plan over lit pad and tracing paper or I use 120gsm art paper on top over the pad and select light density to give best resolution to copy the parts you want.
This quick Pic of Josie plan without straightening the creases out with said 120gsm paper over it & No 2 light setting easily good enough to copy what you need.

Thanks Damien, it certainly looks clearer than using what I used last time, I think it was bought as tracing paper.

Looks like Santa might need a hint in the right direction........... 2thumbsup

UK supplier (allegedly?) with free delivery to UK; several different sizes and types available. Am now desperately trying to justify buying one of these for myself!

The A3 power D is identical to mine the icon in top left is the touch light switch brightness selector.
And the power plugs in just below that icon.
