Fires in Spain

Down here in the deep south of Spain, we have had a very hot and dry summer, leaving the ground like a tinder box. Fires have been starting all over the place including the big one near Marbella (Over an hour away), and several much closer to home, including this one which was so close, the ash landed on our garden table and the smoke was so thick, you could not walk through it safely. The fire was put out very quickly so no real damage was done other than to a couple of acres or so of scrub land.

that's bloody frightning barry................no wonder you wanna come back to blighty......

with the summer we've had, there'd be no chance of that here.
