Launched in 1959 by Cochranes of Selby as Navena for J Marr & son Fleetwood and registered as FD172.......In 1969 she was sold to P&J Johnstone of Aberdeen. In 1973 while on her way to the fishing grounds of the Faroes she was driven ashore in severe gales at copinsay in the orkneys, all the crew were saved but she was a total loss........I scratch built the model at a scale of 1/32 for an o.a.l. of 53 inches.she has working radar scanners, lights, horn and engine sound. I have a couple of internal jobs to finish and then i can try her on the water......all the best.....trawlerman:D Very Happy

Thanks for the comment Andy.....I,ve never been to sea in my life but for some reason i am fascinated by sidewinder trawlers, I know quite a lot of Fleetwood ex-fishermen and they are a mine of information and also very helpful .......Rod Very Happy Very Happy

That looks absolutely beautiful!

A stunning standard of finish, you must be feeling rather proud about now.
I'm looking forward to the on-the-water pics. Fingers crossed for decent weather!
