hello from springtime New Zealand and thank you all for your warm welcome.

I have a life long interest in the sea having been born in the little fishing town of Musselburgh to the South of Edinburgh. At sixteen I went to sea school and from there to the Merchant Navy. Some years ago I built a Grand banks schooner based on Bluenose. She is plank on frame and just over four feet long and sails beautifully with two channel R/C. I then decided to build another at fifty per cent bigger and had the plans blown up accordingly. So in my workshop I have a two metre banks schooner and no way as yet to get her into the water! Doesn't matter, I got a great deal of pleasure building her. I also have a model based on Freda, a famous and old San Francisco sloop. Thanks again, I will post pictures when I figure out how.

Regards to all Ronnie
