0n the garden pond Empty
PostSubject: 0n the garden pond   0n the garden pond EmptyThu Jun 07, 2018 6:19 pm

today I have spent a couple of hours sailing two boats I built special for my small pond. the first one is my light ship.

as you can see its the southgoodwin  light ship there were many others built  over the years and used for many years later saving lives at sea. I built this from photos and drew my own plan so it is not a true scale be near enough.

I put 27meg receiver in, and a 10 amp speed controller. the motor is out of an old car that ran on 7.2 volts. today I have tried a lipo 3.7v x 850 mah -1s -25c and woks great its only 2 inch by 1 inch so makes the boat much lighter than AA batterys.

this was taken with 4 AA batterys before I tried the lipo

this piece of JUNK turned up later Laughing I built this from a plan in model boats. all the sails move from left to right I will take some photos later of how it works. I have taken a video but still cant work out how to load them scratch affraid .

I will put some photos on later of the insides, as I am worn out this old age and arthritis etc  gets me down always tired.
forgot to say they are all about 17 inches long so fit great on my pond.
