Rusty Shaft Empty
PostSubject: Rusty Shaft   Rusty Shaft EmptyTue Oct 17, 2017 5:11 pm

Discovered that the prop shaft in my Puffer has rusted - not used for a while but surely propshafts supplied for model boats should be non rusting?  I assume all I can do is to rearrange things so that the shaft can be withdrawn from time to time and oiled?

A propeller needs to be a non corrosive metal like stainless steel, I bought a cheap Chinese one that was badly made and it appeared to be made from very poor metal which rusted in my shed...........
