Good day all. My name is Jan. I am 61 and from Pretoria, South Africa. I started with Boat modeling as a kid with my father and have been doing it on and off ever since. My current project is a scratch built scale model of the Stealth 560 Flybridge, a cat, hydrofoil assisted motor yacht build by Stealth Yachts in Cape Town(Check their website!). The model is just under 1m. She will be powered by 2 KMB jet drives.
My previous model was an own design 1.4m deep-vee, stepped hull with a 23cc Zenoa and MHZ Z-drive.
It is great to be part of a community of like-minded Model Mariners!

Hi David. At the moment busy with the drawings and the plug for the hull. I do all my boats in GRP. I will post photos as I progress.
Here are some photos of my previous model. I still have the moulds if anyone is interested.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

She is about 15 years old. I used to live in Baseldon,Essex. Used to be a member of OMRA. We also have problems with I/C boatS in SA, that is why my new boat is going to be electric!!!
