PostSubject: Greetings once again from pugwash   Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:03 am

Hello all - glad to see the website is up and running again. I would have joined earlier but have been having
a weeks flyfishing on the River Lyon in Perthshire and got back this weekend.
For those that don't know me Im ex Royal Navy and now retired from Northumbria Police
my interests are 1/96 scale warships, particularly the ones I served onboard. Have completed HMS Juno
(Leander) and recently finished HMS Aisne a converted battle class destroyer. Have all the parts ready
to start HMS Leopard a Cat class diesel frigate. For those that do know me I am still a grumpy old so and so,
just older as I qualified for my pension today.

Hello Geoff. Trout or salmon.?
Or like me nowadays. When I fish the fly I do it with a newspaper. But in the spring then there are excellent conditions here for the trout. cyclops
Hope you have a long and good retirement.
And maybe we will see many great ships, from your yard.
Sincerely, Ole

Thanks for all the greetings - yes the fishing was great - just for trout this time
but when we go back it will be for the salmon- one lad had 4 in two hours so
it looks a great wee river to try again.
Now back to work on Aisne - just before I went I re-ballasted it with lead flashing
still very wibbly wobbly so today I cast a lead bulb keel (fumes were awful)
and will try with that.
