The hard chine model is of a 35 footer ,built at 2'' to the foot and the other is built at 3/4 '' to the foot . Some of the stuff that I have built Pic_0011

Proper job some nice wood work there is that oak you've used on the keel? and is it steam bent or laminated looks good either way

that "ringer" is beautiful..........a true scottish fishing boat built the old fashioned way..............I love your others too, but that POF boat is just superb............would have loved to have seen it finished and on the water rather than as a coffee table though.

Phil . this is made from 'ash' and the frames are sawn, planking steamed. the thindg weighed about 60kg's at this stage..

that "ash" pof model certainly is a cracking looking project I'm struggling to decide what sort of boat it is so many traditional boats it could be This photo shows the true colour of the bare wood the previous picture fooled me a little because the timber looked a little grey as if weathered and when the lighter hardwoods like oak ash and even birch are weathered it can be difficult to spot the differences in a photo

Gav I take it from that you have access to or know someone with access to a sawmill ooooh I wish sometimes lol

Being a carpenter/joiner I'm all to aware how wood prices seem to be rocket powered these days its getting so I can't give a quote valid for 30 days as in that time material prices could well have gone up, and significantly too
